| The Pacific Railroad Society's 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Special drifts downgrade through Caliente with Amtrak's freshly painted Phase I Anniversary unit, the AMTK 156, on the point of today's train. In the background, an ex-Southern Pacific searchlight still stands and earns its keep...but not for very many years longer after this photo was taken. |
