BNSF's Colorado Springs-based local works the beer distributor at the extreme north end of the Roswell Spur. This trackage was once part of the original Santa Fe right of way through Colorado Springs, running parallel to the Rio Grande main north to Denver and operated together as the Joint Line. Aside from this spur, the remainder of the Santa Fe main between Colorado Springs and Palmer Lake was removed in the early 1970s in favor of single-track CTC operation on the D&RGW. This customer, located along N Nevada Ave at Mountview Lane, is no longer rail-served. As of 2019 (20 years since the date of this photo) this portion of the spur has been removed. It now terminates about one mile to the south at a lumber distributor.
