EMD’s Past and a Future That Didn’t Happen

A few Amtrak E8’s nearing the end of their careers lay over at the Harrisburg engine terminal, while EMD GM10B demonstrator 1976 rests nearby. The future for new blood on former PRR electric territory was populated with diesels, and Conrail freights propelled by electric locomotives ended in a few years.
