Still showing much of its Rio Grande heritage (primarily on the ends and the upper portions of the cupola), D&RGW wide-vision caboose 01503 is still used on Union Pacific locals out of UP's Fourth South Yard in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, on August 25, 2017. The salmon sides are an oddity - its a color not used by UP - and painting out the old Rio Grande markings provided a large canvas for the local taggers. Still, finding any caboose still in service on a class one railroad in 2017 is a welcome sight!
