Remarks & Notes

In the spring of 1974, Santa Fe GP30 No. 3221 sits in front of the railroad's diesel shop in Barstow. Later this unit will wear number 2721 after being upgraded, and with BNSF, 2421. Note how with such tight quarters on either side of the "blister" atop the cab, the bells of the horn had to be separated.
