A Chicago & North Western freight approaches Santa Fe Junction near the state line at Kansas City, Missouri, on September 15, 1990. C&NW EMD SD40-2 Nos. 6845 and 6908 power the westbound train that has a eight-car cut of flatcars loaded with brand new John Deere farm equipment up front. The bridge above the train is the “high line” approach for Kansas City Terminal’s Kaw River Bridge.
