Remarks & Notes
The daily local train of A746 runs long-hood forward this afternoon as it brings 14 loads and 5 empties up the hill into Auburn passing the new XXB 114 signal. This new Safetran Vader hood was recently cut in on July of this year replacing a veteran US&S color light signal which can be seen laying on the ground to the left of the train in this photo.

The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
