Remarks & Notes
The Dominion Atlantic Railway was Canadian Pacific's Nova Scotia subsidiary, and Kentville was its headquarters. On a showery afternoon, CP RDC 9059 running as Yarmouth-Halifax train #2 paused at the DAR's Kentville station/headquarters, which also served as a lunch stop for this 216-mile run. VIA ended passenger service here in 1990 and Kentville saw its last freight train three years later. Both the track and the station are now gone.
