The Canadian has just completed its climb up Kicking Horse Pass behind FP7 1416 and an FP9 and will begin its descent into Lake Louise for a station stop. In early May 1978, the train is still in the abbreviated winter consist mode of only seven cars. However, it still includes the Skyline dome and Park series obs.
