Remarks & Notes
A veteran with 48 years of service to New Jersey commuters shoves train 854 out of Maplewood on a brisk late fall afternoon. This train left Hackettstown at 11:55am and will arrive in Hoboken at 1:59pm if all goes well. NJTR 4100 was built in October 1968 as CNJ 3681 to handle their commuter services centered around Newark's Penn Station after the "Aldene Plan" was enacted. This unit would later become part of the NJ DOT fleet, where it was renumbered 4110. It retained this number under NJ Transit until an eventual rebuilding where it was renumbered as 4100.
