The Boston & Maine painted GP38-2 200 in a bicentennial scheme as seen in an RP photo by Don Oltmann. That is the only recognized B&M bicentennial locomotive. Here is an image of 1949 NW2 1213, which was repainted from its original EMD-styled black with red nose stripes scheme. in the mid 1970’s. The NW2 received a modified version of the post-1969 solid blue scheme which retained the nose stripes, alternately painted red and white, resulting in a bicentennial-like look. Here, most likely at the end of life, the unit, stacks capped, stands in the North Billerica dead line.
