There are more then 40000 horsepower in charge for this train, with Re 420 # 342 (Re 4/4 II 11342), Re 620 # 069 "Hägendorf", Re 4/4 II # 11336, Re 620 # 061 "Gampel-Steg" and Re 4/4 II 11163 pushing in the rear. With regard to the strength of the couplers on the 2.6 % grade, the locomotives at the top can pull a maximum of 1400 tonnes (for which a Re 620 and a Re 420 would be enough), the locomotive at the end pushes up to max.
