Remarks & Notes 
88 works hard against the gradient northbound. It carries the 'Prussian Blue' livery of the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway. These were designed primarily as freight locomotives, but were employed on passenger workings between Bath and Bournemouth due to the steep gradients on that line.
