Remarks & Notes
Roughly midway through its cross-country journey, we see Amtrak’s Southwest Chief #3 as it travels past an active set of semaphore signals moments before the quickly setting sun disappears completely. While many of these historic signals have fallen in recent months, located in Chapelle, NM, featured are only two of many that remain operational in the area for daily use.
