A Star 200BC White Strobe is caught flashing on this AEM-7AC... These strobes were once a distinguishing and common feature of Amtrak road power, but are now only found on their AEM-7s. So with the retirement of the AEM-7, the white independently flashing safety devices will also be but all but memory - a memory burned deep into my mind from watching approaching Amtrak trains as a child with my father.
