| NS 6617, sans thoroughbred nose logo, and sister unit NS 6618 pass the Southern cantilever signal as the train of empty gondolas prepares to head onto the NS/West End District to deliver these gondolas for the steel pipe mills west of Birmingham. This train usually has classic EMD power pulling it to and from Norris Yard. |
