Remarks & Notes

On March 4, 1977, the D&RGW derailed half a dozen coal loads at the University Avenue overpass in Provo, Utah. Steam powered derrick 029 was recruited from Roper Yard in Salt Lake City to help clean up the mess. By the middle of the following day, the mainline had been cleared and the crossover switches had been restored to service.
