This train headed south out of LaCrescent, MN before I could get into position to watch them leave. I thought I was playing catch-up to the DM&E 6054 but was suprised to find the SOO 6054 on the point. At Marquette, IA they would add the KCS 4684 to the point before leaving town around 1115. This photo opportunity required walking through waist-high wet soybeans, river weeds full of nettles (with shorts on) and enduring hundreds of mosquitos. Was it worth it? Heck yeah!
