UP 7708 splits a pair of intermediate signals west of Lake Point on UP's Lynndyl Subdivision. This particular train was a classic drag freight: 142 cars, 15,376 tons and 8,825 feet in length. It was run 2x2 DPU and was moving along at 19 mph on the ascent to the top of the hill at Stockton. Of course, many more ups and downs await this MNPWC on it's way west to California.
