With Los Angeles' City Hall visible in the distance, Cotton Belt GP60 9686 leads a light power movement southbound (railroad "east") on Southern Pacific’s Wilmington Line, alongside the new MTA Blue Line light rail trackage, the old Pacific Electric four-track mainline (which I rode the last week the PE operated it) running down the middle of Long Beach Blvd to downtown LA. This power is headed to Dolores Yard, not far from the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports, and the Blue Line will be paralleled all the way. (Los Angeles, California - August 11, 1990)
