Remarks & Notes
The village of Palace Valley is pretty self explanatory. A small village which is home to three or four houses wedged in between two mountains is also home to the Beech Mountain railroad mainline. A line which was abandoned in 1998 finally resumed operations in 2004 transporting empties to the Star Mine located five or so miles from this location. Thankfully, we're lucky enough on this to day to catch this unique shortline in operation.
