The big ALCO CC units were drawn from all over the new Conrail system congregating at Mingo. LV, EL, PC and RDG. Conrail was moving fast to sand off the old logos and names to create a new corporate identity. it would take several years to complete and many ALCOs would survive long enough to become true Conrail.
