This young lady insisted on being photographed at Kurseong. She stands in front of loco 788 at the small loco shed. 788 is a 2 feet gauge 0-4-0ST, built in Glasgow, UK, in 1913.

This tiny locomotive was built by Neilson and Company in Glasgow in 1897. It worked at Beckton Gas works, in London, and is now preserved at Bressingham Hall, near Diss, in Norfolk.

Hard to believe that these units are now 25 years old. Here, 165035 leaves Oxford for London Paddington in 1992. A sister "Turbo" unit is stabled in the sidings on the left.

Metre gauge loco No 2919 has obviously suffered some damage to it`s nose. It is seen here at Kalaura Junction with the 0730 Sylhet to Dhaka in 2008.
