The third SMILE high-speed train RABe 501 # 044, built by StadlerRail for the Austrian Westbahn, recently left the Stadler commissioning center in Erlen for the first time this day. Now it is on the test run 97464 from Romanshorn Süd to Sulgen, between Oberaach and Erlen. Unlike the first two trains delivered, this one has already been wrapped in Westbahn colors in Switzerland, and the interior (leather seats) has also been completed. Here, the catenary design dates from the electrification of the line in 1928.
