| A very rare sight when the only two Re 4/4 II locomotives of the SBB still wearing the "Swiss Express" paint scheme from the 1970' pulled together a train. # 11108 and 11109 in multiple control with Eurocity 163 TRANSALPIN from Zürich to Graz, with cars from the Austrian Railways (ÖBB) and a panorama car Apm of the SBB in the rear, running along the Walensee near Unterterzen. The locomotives were in charge from Zürich to Buchs (SG), border to Austria. Re 4/4 II # 11108 is owned nowadays by SBB Historic and exhibited in the Swiss Museum of Transport (VHS) in Lucerne. # 11109 is operated by SBB passenger division till now. |
