Inbetween the silence of the Eastern Colorado plains lies BNSF's Akron Subdivision, a more seldom shot 'little brother" line that cuts off of the Brush Subdivision at Brush, Colorado. While traffic is slower than usual, a unique set of locals also grace this line, which make these trips out East all the more worth it. Coming back up to track speed after rolling through Wray, Colorado, is BNSF's Akron Local, heading eastbound with less than 10 miles to go from the Colorado/Nebraska border, and little work left on their way to McCook
