Following repairs, the SBB Historic Ae 8/14 double-unit locomotive # 11801 undertook a test run from Erstfeld via the Gotthard mountain route to Ambri-Piotta in Ticino and back. The locomotive, now running around her train, was built in 1931 by SLM and BBC for the SBB and has 5514 kW, with Buchli drive on 8 axles. In regular service till 1975, now historic operational locomotive of "Team Erstfeld, Bahnhistorischer Verein am Gotthard".
