Stealth at CP-11
MBTA 1072, the 37th and final F40PH-3C rebuilt for the MBTA, came back unpainted as one of 4 units planned to receive special paint. Due to 1071 and 1036, the two units ahead of it, taking longer than expected, the ever-power-short MBTA placed 1072 into revenue service before it had a chance to hit the paint booth. It has now been in revenue service for more than a month, and with 1036 and 1071 now also out on the road, it's only a matter of time before 1072 joins the heritage fleet.
