| Catenary Repair at Red Bank.
On March 12, 2026, a Long Branch-bound NJ Transit train became disabled and damaged the overhead catenary wire just north (railroad east) of Red Bank station on the North Jersey Coast Line. Once the disabled train was moved, Geismar VMB-161 catenary car OP1022 was brought in to repair the overhead wire.
The car has come to a stop just clear of Shrewsbury Ave as maintenance workers prepare to begin the process of repairing the damaged catenary. |
