Catenary Repair at Red Bank.
On March 12, 2026, a Long Branch-bound NJ Transit train became disabled and damaged the overhead catenary wire just north (railroad east) of Red Bank station on the North Jersey Coast Line. Once the disabled train was moved, Geismar VMB-161 catenary car OP1022 was brought in to repair the overhead wire.
Here the catenary car and other maintenance equipment is seen just east of Shrewsbury Ave, preparing to begin their work repairing the overhead wire. The first damaged catenary support can be seen at left, over the westbound Track 1.
