Catenary Repair at Red Bank.
On March 12, 2026, a Long Branch-bound NJ Transit train became disabled and damaged the overhead catenary wire just north (railroad east) of Red Bank station on the North Jersey Coast Line. Once the disabled train was moved, Geismar VMB-161 catenary car OP1022 was brought in to repair the overhead wire.
Here the car is seen crossing the iconic trestle over the Navesink River, making its way into Red Bank.
