RSTX 1003 is one of 6 F40PH-4C units being leased by the MBTA to stand in for HSP46s when they're being sent out for midlife overhauls. Roughly 2 weeks after 1003 was delivered to the MBTA, it was sent back to the CSX interchange in Framingham, seemingly to be shipped back to Metro East Industries. Not sure what's wrong with this unit, but 1005 will be taking its place, arriving in Framingham to be delivered to the MBTA in the same week. |
