India's longest funicular railway, inaugurated in January 2026, is now operational at Shree Malanggad near Kalyan. The 1.2 km rail system replaces a 2-hour, 2,600-step climb with a 7–10 minute journey. Seen here is one of the rake approaching Malangad hill top station.
