Remarks & Notes
Nearly stalling, G&E Shifter R202 crawls across the timber supports of the WV Hwy 20 girder bridge at walking speed, fighting the steep 2.2% grade from Peaser Jct to Quinwood Tunnel. The seasoned C&O crew sure put this pair of “lightning bolts” through their paces getting their second cut of 28 loads from Green Valley up the mountain on the rusted, worn out jointed rail of the former Hominy Creek sub of the NF&G. What a show!

A rail tribute to the Canadian Pacific as it was before. The KCS as it was then and now, the combined CPKC system as it continues growing today. All credit goes to the original photographers and their talents. Many thanks for your efforts. Please enjoy
