| The "COMBO UNIT"... Taking a train of steel rails, over steel rails, through a steel bridge, is the unique SD23T4 locomotive built for CSX. It was rebuilt from a EMD SD40-2 and uses a GE/Wabtec prime mover. In most cases these locomotive are used for work trains and local service. It is seen here pulling a welded rail train over the Chattahoochee River. |
