| Remarks & Notes |
| Amtrak Extra 887 flies through Chester Station on a HHP-C test and qualification run. Amtrak is now testing the equipment and qualifying crews to bring the former HHP-8 locomotives into revenue service as cab cars to lead double ended regional sets to aid Amtrak's power shortage in the Northeast. These tests will commence over the next few weeks. The full consist included AMTK HHP-C 9752 (Phase VII), an Amfleet I (Phase VII), AMTK ACS-64 604 (Phase VI), an Amfleet I Café (Phase VI), and AMTK HHP-C 9752 (Phase VII) bringing up the rear. |
