Erie at Sunset
NS 1068, the Erie heritage unit, pulls 62V, trash empties bound for New Jersey east through Altoona, PA. 62V is rarely seen in daylight, but due to a derailment near Horseshoe Curve a few days prior, everything is running hours, or in some cases, days behind schedule.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
