| BN 6542 leads a westbound freight up Stevens Pass at the west end of Berne siding about a mile east of the Cascade Tunnel. It will top the grade just inside the east portal of the tunnel and begin its descent down the west side of Stevens Pass to Skykomish where the grade will ease off the 2.2% grade and helpers will be set out. |
