| Of a Dying Breed
NS 65K, an empty ethanol train makes its way into the sunset with 1837, an SD70ACC leading the way. 1837 was rebuilt in 2019 by ProgressRail from Spartan cab SD70 #2551. Word on the street is that the 52 ACCs on Norfolk Southern are on the chopping block and will be replaced by newly-built GE ES44ACs in the near future. Trailing second is a Kansas City Southern AC44CW, which was built originally for Transportación Ferroviaria Mexicana, as denoted by the nose-mounted numberboards. |
