| An eastbound on the North Jersey Coast Line is shoving from Long Branch to Little Silver across Bridgewaters Drive. This grade crossing has been recently upgraded along with the foreground track, the Monmouth Running Track, which was once used to serve Monmouth Park. This single track is declared out-of-service, and has been for a long time. The chances of this track ever being put back into service is remote and yet good money was been spent to restore its grade crossing here. Perhaps just another example of the waste that goes on in the great Garden State. |
