| Remarks & Notes |
| Frisco 4501 was built for the St. Louis - San Francisco Railway (better known as the Frisco) by Baldwin in 1942. It was delivered wearing this special scheme of zephyr blue, gray, and white to pull the "Meteor" between Oklahoma City and St. Louis. Of the 25 engines built in this group (4500-4524) only the first three (4500-4502) wore the "Meteor" scheme and were oil-fired (the others burned coal). No. 4501 is proudly displayed at the Museum of the American Railroad in Frisco, Texas. |
