The historic snow fighting composition with steam snow blower X rot d # 9213 and locomotive Ge 4/4 # 182 of the Rhaetian Railway, former Bernina Railway, is moving along Lago Bianco on about 2250 meter a.s.l. and crossing the bridge "at the Lake" south of Ospizio Bernina. Nice reflection in the not frozen water of the former Lago della Scala, now part of the dammed Lago Bianco. The water/ice level is extremly low, the photographer is standing on snow covered ground on about 2218 meter a.s.l., which is usually below water level.
