| The historic snowplow composition of the Bernina Railway and the Rhaetian Railway, with the self-propelled "Rotary" steam snowplow X rot d # 9213 of 1910 and the electric locomotive “Bernina Crocodile” Ge 4/4 # 182 of 1928 travels along Lago Bianco on the Bernina Pass at approx. 2250 meters above sea level from Ospizio Bernina heading south. There is little snow, only about half the long-term average for this time of year. The RhB offers a demonstration of snow clearance in earlier times as an adventure trip.
