Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway train H-BARSDG1-26 departed Barstow westbound, but changed to eastbound when it transitioned off Metrolink's Olive Sub about a quarter mile back; on Metrolink's Orange Sub it is now an eastbound move, heading to San Diego.
Passing through the city of Orange's Metrolink station are BNSF ES44AC 5756, Dash 9-44CW 4346, ES44C4 8175 and GP60 190, with ES44C4 6655 and Dash 9-44CW 4324 shoving on the rear. These freights normally operate at night, but with the line closed for two days for both track and geologic maintenance (due to unstable trackside bluffs along the beach), apparently BNSF was eager to get this train through on Monday morning.
