Pantograph test runs on the Thur Valley line with the Alstom TRAXX F160 MS3 188 # 011 from Akiem Leasing Company, operated by BLS Cargo. The locomotive for all four European power systems, with 6000 kW and a maximum speed of up to 160 km/h, weighs 90 tons and is to be approved in six countries: France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The locomotive is registered with BTH in Germany (Bombardier Transportation Henningsdorf), the predecessor of Alstom. The route between Sulgen and Romanshorn is often used for pantograph test runs, as the design of the catenary dates back to the electrification in 1928. Three unrenovated Type IV second-class standard cars are attached as a load, the number of which has been greatly reduced.
