| “Old CTDOT Friends Meet Again”
On September 25th, 2025, CTrail EMD GP40-3H #6697 meets former CTDOT/Metro-North Railroad Morrison-Knudsen M6 #9014 at the Connecticut Army National Guard’s Camp Hartell base in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, marking their first encounter in over a decade. M6s 9014 and 9015 were donated to the Army National Guard following their retirement in 2015 and now serve as training equipment alongside other railcars for multiple agencies across Connecticut. GP40-3H #6697 and seven other pieces of CTrail equipment were temporarily on site to support a joint emergency preparedness exercise.
