| Due to planned maintenance work in the Gotthard Base Tunnel, most passenger trains will be diverted via the Gotthard mountain route from January 13 to 24, 2026, to ensure that sufficient slots are available for freight traffic in the base tunnel. The SBB's “Giruno” RABe 501 # 032 “Veneto” leaves the Leggistein loop tunnel and crosses the upper Meienreuss bridge on its journey as IC 10865 from Zurich to Lugano. The friendly train driver greets the photographer as if he knew him.
