On August 23rd, 2025, CTrail Extra 6711, powered by GE P40BH 6711, slows to a stop just before Depot Road on the Berlin Industrial Track in front of the Hartford Line station in Berlin, Connecticut. It’s not often a train sits outside the entrance of a station it normally serves, but this move supported a joint emergency preparedness exercise. CTrail and Herzog hosted a tabletop exercise and equipment walkthrough off the MRS main line with local first responders to familiarize them with Hartford Line equipment, railroad safety, and interagency coordination.
