Southern Pacific’s Costa Mesa local is seen returning on Metrolink's Orange Sub, which is uses from near the Anaheim Amtrak station to just beyond the Santa Ana passenger station, a distance of about five miles (8 km).
Today's train is led by SP GP35 6587, built in May 1964 as SP 7475, and it is about to cross Santiago Creek.
