First day of 2026 and I'm already playing a card I didn't expect....the Operation Lifesaver unit making another visit to Taft, but this time it was trailing (in between two other SD70!) and in the afternoon, the local dogcatch crew got on board to take it and one other out to Stanton Energy Center to pick up an empty coal train.....they didn't run from 4568, they ran from 4530, essentially shoving down to Stanton Wye then heading in instead of just running in head first to the train, allowing for 4568 to lead out again. OH, and the FCEN "Port Manatee" 7063, just so happened to be on hand as well. Pure luck all around.
